JXB Builds Bike Lounge to Support Ciliwung Rowing Festival

PT Jakarta Tourisindo or the Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) supports the holding of the Ciliwung Rowing Festival which takes place at BNI City station, Central Jakarta, Sunday (12/4). JXB's support is done through the provision of assets, namely the JXB Bike Lounge.

JXB President Director, Novita Dewi expressed that she felt proud that his party was included in the Ciliwung Rowing Festival which started in front of the Pasar Rumput Flat to BNI City Station. It is an activity carried out to lead to the National Rowing Championships and PUPR Service Day.

"We are happy, the JXB Bike Lounge can be used to make the Ciliwung Rowing Festival smooth," she expressed.

Heru Encourages Residents to Care for Ciliwung River

Her party would build a pier in front of the JXB Bike Lounge area, thus t could be accessed directly from the Ciliwung river.

"This is our form of support for the development of water tourism and optimization of the Ciliwung River initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Government," she said.

She explained that the JXB Bike Lounge is a facility designed for cyclists and the general public, with smart glass bathroom facilities, namely glass that will turn opaque when the user enters it.

There is also an MSME area, a gathering area, lockers, and a bike parking area, including one being built with the spirit of creating a new third space in Jakarta that can facilitate the activation of public spaces.

"JXB Bike Lounge is currently in the finalization stage and plans to open it to the public shortly," she added.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono hoped that the Ciliwung Rowing Festival is public awareness to protect and care for the Ciliwung River.

"Most importantly, I call on all people not to throw garbage into the river. Ciliwung River is our asset, which must be protected," she stressed.

The same statement also came from Public Works and Settlement Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono. From this activity, the public is more familiar with rowing and pays attention to environmental sustainability.

"Hopefully, this is expected to be a good initiative on how the management of the Ciliwung River can be emulated by other regions in Indonesia, such as Brantas River, Braga River, and others," he stated.
