Honesty Brings Iqbal to a Better Future

So happy

Muhammad Iqbal (22), an employee of the Jakarta Experience Board (PT Jakarta Tourisindo) is an example of a young man with noble character.

As reported earlier, the money worth 2,050 euros and 3,000 dollars or equivalent to Rp 65 million belonging to one of the quarantine guests at the Nagrak Rusunawa did not make him tempted to take what does not belong to him.

Honesty of JXB Employee, Iqbal Receives a Special Gift from Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy

He immediately reported the money to his boss until finally the money returned to its owner in full.

His honesty led him to unexpected fortunes and experiences throughout his life.

No wonder, he immediately received a vacation gift to Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf), Sandiaga Uno via video call.

Even, he also received a bonus of Rp 15,000,000 and an offer to become a permanent employee as an appreciation from JXB's President Director, Novita Dewi.

To Beritajakarta.id, he admitted that he was very happy and touched because he received an unexpected gift.

"Thank you, Miss Novi. So happy, I really didn't expect it. Moreover, this is the first time I can video call together with Mr. Sandiaga Uno, and invites me on a free vacation to Lombok," he expressed, Wednesday (2/23).

On his vacation to Lombok, Sandiaga Uno also accompanied him directly when he visited the Mandalika Circuit.

"I've been to the Mandalika Circuit with Mr. Sandi. Now it's the fourth day in Lombok, yesterday we also had a trip to Gili Nanggu Beach. Six days in Lombok, departing from February 19," he admitted.

This young man from Cemplang Village, Sukamaju Urban Village, Cibungbulang, Bogor, West Java, also received an offer to become a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) by the Head of the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force who is also the Head of BNPB, Lt. Gen. TNI, Suharyanto if the pandemic is over.

The second child of three siblings admitted that he was confused but also happy because of the offer. but he hasn't decided which offer to choose yet.

"Still confused about choosing to be an employee at BNPB or a permanent employee at JXB," he expressed.

Aside that, BNPB together with JXB would also give college scholarships for him to continue his education to a higher level.

Indeed, it is his goal to continue his education to college. Previously, that dream ran aground due to financial problem, especially since he is the breadwinner of the family.

"So happy. When I was in third grade high school, I wanted to go to college. But, after graduating, I didn't think about it anymore because of financial problem, so I immediately looked for work," he explained.

In the midst of happiness, he did not forget to share kindness with others in need. Some of the appreciation or gifts he received would be donated to mustahik after returning from Mandalika.

"I want to give it to mustahik such as orphans and widows in my neighborhood. My family has reminded me and I also have the same intention because some of the money belongs to other people as well, like mustahik," he closed.
