LPP RRI Meets Heru Discusses Positive Communication with Residents

Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono, received State-Run Broadcaster Radio Republic Indonesia (LPP RRI) President Director I Hendrasmo at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (12/5).

According to Hendrasmo, as an independent public broadcasting institution, RRI wanted to be a bridge of positive communication between the Jakarta Provincial Government and its citizens.

"The public needs to know what programs are being made by the Jakarta Government. Jakarta also wants to know what kind of feedback from the public. It all starts with communication," he expressed.

City, RRI Ink Deal to Share about Disaster Awareness

He explained that RRI currently has 69 stations spread across Indonesia plus 30 supporting stations. The context of RRI broadcasting carries development communication.

By doing so, communication between the government and citizens was expected to be strong, thus encouraging national and regional development.

"We want to be a bridge for residents when they communicate with the Jakarta Government. We're the mediator between the government and the people,” he stated.
