The East Jakarta Social Sub-agency has prepared various steps and efforts to anticipate hydrometeorological disasters.

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Purwono said one of the efforts made was by setting up a public kitchen in the yard of the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency office on Jalan Haji Naman, Pondok Kelapa Urban Village, increasing the stock of natural needs to meet the needs of residents, including toddlers and elderly, and preparing school supplies from elementary to high school.

"We're ready to anticipate that by adding to the stock of basic needs, nature, clothing, and so on. Because when a disaster occurs, it is usually difficult for residents to get what they need,” he expressed, Wednesday (12/7).

For the public kitchen, currently, 10 sets of cookware have been prepared. For one cooking, each set can be used for 100 rice boxes. In the warehouse, his party has also prepared 10,000 boxes that have been assembled and arranged neatly. There are also 2,000 boxes of 500-millimeter bottled mineral water. 30,000 boxes are still unassembled and still in sheet form.

Other facilities prepared are rescue cars, public kitchen cars, food supply cars, elf cars, social service cars, pick-up cars, motorbike carts, and one unit of boat pump. There are also 10 buoys, 10 oars, one fiber boat, 26 velbeds, one small generator, one compressor unit, five refugee tents, as well as two units of posts and two units of refugee tents from the Social Ministry.

"We're also ready to operate 20 disaster preparedness villages (KSB) in areas prone to inundation such as Rambutan, Cibubur, Ciracas, Cipinang Muara, Cipinang Melayu, Chinese Bidara, Kampung Melayu urban villages, and others," he stated.
