Heru: Synergy is the Key to Resilient and Sustainable City

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, appreciated Polda Metro Jaya for initiating the formation of Kampung Tangguh Jaya (KTJ) to maintain security and public order in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.

This statement was conveyed when he attended the highlight of the 2022 Kampung Tangguh Jaya (resilient village) Competition, Thursday (12/15) at the Polda Metro Jaya Meeting Hall, South Jakarta. It is a collaborative effort between the National Army (TNI)-Police, Regional Government, and business world (PT Astra Internasional), as well as community.

At that time, the Acting Governor had the opportunity to hand over the Kapolda Metro Jaya Trophy and Rp 35 million in coaching money to RW 01 Untung Jawa Island, South Seribu Islands, who won first prize and defeated 11 other nominees who took part in this event.

"We have to work together, including the community. We're also waiting for Kampung Tangguh Jaya programs to strengthen the environment together," he expressed.

He hoped that the evebt could trigger the community's spirit to increase self-sufficiency in managing security and order, food self-sufficiency, as well as disaster preparedness.

"Co-work and synergy between the government, the business world, and the community are the keys to a resilient and sustainable city," he expressed.

Polda Metro Jaya Chief, Gen. Pol. Fadil Imran explained that the Kampung Tangguh Jaya was formed in 2021 to minimize the spread of Covid-19, especially in red zone areas. Now, its existence is growing and helping to overcome problems in urban environments.

"Until now, there are 1,083 resilient villages spread across the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya," he explained.

He went on to say that the Kampung Tangguh Jaya has a mutual cooperation foundation, then the pillars are togetherness, the roof is harmony. This principle of unity and harmony is the spirit and soul of Kampung Tangguh Jaya.

"Kampung Tangguh Jaya has six components, namely health resilience, food security resilience or economic resilience and security resilience, as well as other components according to the potential, and existing environmental conditions," he concluded.
