Here are Ways and Conditions for Getting Jakarta Elderly Card

The Jakarta Provincial Government keeps providing social security to meet basic needs for the elderly. One of them is through the Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ) program, which is given to individuals who have met the set criteria and requirements.

This is an absolute condition

Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Abdul Salam said his sub-agency continues to monitor and monitor KLJ distribution, which is a program from the Jakarta Social Agency.

"KLJ is given to residents, at least 60 years old and included in the Integrated Social Welfare List (DTKS). This is an absolute condition," he expressed, Friday (12/16).

He explained that elderly people could register to enter DTKS online via the website, https://dtks.jakarta.go.id. Meanwhile, DTKS data updates are held four times a year.

The requirements or criteria for the elderly who wish to register themselves in the DTKS are having a Jakarta ID card, not owning a four-wheeled vehicle, owning a house with an NJOP under Rp 1 billion, and being deemed incapacitated as evidenced by the environment.

As for the data on the elderly who entered DTKS at the Jakarta Social Service Center for Data and Information (Pusdatin) was then submitted to data collectors and social security assistants to hold village meetings which were attended by RT, RW, LMK, and PKK.

Afterward, the results of this meeting determine the priority of which elderly people are entitled to get the KLJ program.

"Those who are entitled to receive KLJ will then be invited to Bank DKI to open a savings account to distribute social security funds," he explained.

He added that they would receive a social security grant of Rp 600,000 per month from the Jakarta Government, including free rides on JakLingko and Transjakarta buses, and can buy subsidized basic food packages provided by the Jakarta Maritime, Agricultural, and Food Security Agency (KPKP).

"The amount of social security funds for the elderly is Rp 600,000 per month," he stated.
