Under Pondok Bambu Flyover in East Jakarta Beautified

The makeover of under Pondok Bambu Flyover on Jalan Pahlawan Revolusi, East Jakarta, finally completed last week.

This is the result of cross-sectoral synergy

Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Ahmad Ruslan expressed, besides makeover, his side also made a park at the location. It involved around 30 workers from PPSU, Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Task Force, Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, and Bina Marga Sub-agency.

It was conducted, as the area looked slum and was often used as a motorcycle taxi base.

"This is the result of cross-sectoral synergy. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), it was neatly arranged within 2.5 months, no longer a slum impression. Parks are comfortable and make people feel at home for long," he expressed, Monday (12/19).

Aside that, the graffiti on the wall under the flyover had also been cleaned and repainted. At night, the surrounding area was also bright with spotlights. So, it was safe and comfortable for the location to relax.

"We deploy some officers to monitor the place for security," he added.

The same action was also spotted in Pangkalan Jati area, intersection of Kalimalang, precisely around truck pool.

"Even though it's not a priority scale, the area is still managed and cared for," he stated.
