Want Vacation? Here are Boat Fares to Seribu Islands

The rates are still by Governor Regulation number 61/2020

Before reaching the Seribu Islands tourist site, you can access Muara Angke Port in Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta. At this port, crossing services are available to and from Seribu Islands with the newest boats owned by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) and traditional boats or popularly known as boat taxi services managed by the local community.

Muara Angke Harbor is one of the ports often used by the public to go to and return from Seribu Islands.

Dishub Operates Four New Boats to Seribu Islands

Jakarta Dishub's Water Transportation Management Unit Service (UPAP) Executing Unit Head, Wahyu Wijayanto expressed the ferry crossing from Muara Angke Port to Seribu Islands is still subject to a discount of almost half of the normal rate.

The normal tariff for crossing ships to Seribu Islands according to Bylaw No. 1/2015 is divided into zones. That is zone 1 serves Muara Angke to Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, and Lancang Island or vice versa for Rp 43,000.

Then zone 2 serves crossings from Muara Angke to Pramuka Island, Payung Island, Tidung Island, Panggang Island, and from Kelapa Island to Sebira Island and vice versa for Rp 54,000. Meanwhile, zone 2 plus serves shipping from Muara Angke to Sebira Island, the tariff is Rp 74,000.

"Until now, we have not reinstated these rates. The rates are still by Governor Regulation number 61/2020," he expressed, Friday (12/23).

Based on Governor Regulation number 61/2020, which was issued in June 2020, the zone 1 crossing rates are set at Rp 23,000, while zone 2 is Rp 28,000 and zone 2 plus Rp 38,000.

Every day from 8 PM, as many as 2-5 ships depart from Muara Angke Port for Seribu Islands. Departure is divided into three routes, namely line one serves to ship from Muara Angke Port - Untung Jawa Island - Lancang Island - Payung Island - Tidung Island.

Then line two serves shipping from Muara Angke Port - Untung Jawa Island - Pari Island - Panggang Island - Pramuka Island. Meanwhile, line three serves shipping from Muara Angke Port - Kelapa Island - Sebira Island.

To buy boat tickets, passengers can buy via Jaket Boat application which can be downloaded via Google Play and  App Store.

"The reference is online purchases, unless there are not yet full passengers, we will provide them offline," he explained.

In addition to the Dishub ferry boat, passengers can also take advantage of traditional ship services or better known as boat taxi services. For traditional boat tickets, they can get them at the counter, which is located in the parking area or near the Muara Angke Port canteen.

Traditional Ship Field Coordinator, Daeng uttered traditional boat departures are carried out every day at 8 AM. If the conditions are crowded with passengers, he will make adjustments by increasing the number of boat departures at 11 AM.

For travel from Muara Angke Port to Tidung Island, his party charges Rp 82,000 per person. Whereas to Pari Island is Rp 72,000, Pramuka Island Rp 82,000. and Harapan Island Rp 92,000.

"We're only conditional, if it's busy, we'll take two departures. Ticket reservations can be made by telephone to number 0811 1624 302," he stated.

As for the information, those of you who use public transportation can access the Transjakarta bus from Kota Station to Muara Angke Port. Then for people who use private four- and two-wheeled vehicles, in the Muara Angke Ferry Port area parking is also available at overnight rates.

Two-wheeled vehicles are charged Rp 2,000 and Rp 2,000 for each subsequent hour. While overnight parking is subject to a fee of Rp 25,000 per day.

Parking for four-wheeled vehicles is charged at Rp 4,000 and Rp 3,000 for each subsequent hour. Then overnight parking for four-wheeled vehicles is charged at Rp 45,000 per day.

As for bus/truck parking, the driver is charged Rp 6,000 and Rp 4,000 is charged for each subsequent hour. If staying overnight, the bus/truck parking fee is charged Rp 85,000 per day.
