East Jakarta Builds New Channels at 54 Spots

The East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has managed to make new water channels, connecting channels, and its accessories through E-catalog.

Alhamdulillah, it can be realized this year.

The total length of the new channels that have been built reaches seven kilometers.

Drainage Development and Improvement Division Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri explained the channel development at 54 spots were divided into four stages in a year. It had been started from April 21, 2022 to December 21, 2022.

"These channels are realized to follow up on resident's request in the Musrenbang 2021 and the previous year," he expressed, Saturday (12/24).

He detailed that the development work in the first phase was 20 locations, the second phase was 12 locations, the third phase was16 locations, and the fourth was six locations.

Of 54 spots, some works were carried out on Jalan Komarudin Segmen Masjid Jami Riyad to Jalan Gufron, Cakung Sub-district (231 meters long), Jalan Malaka, Munjul (575 meters long), Jalan Pagelarang Kembang Sepatu Setu (674 meters long).

Then on Jalan Al Baidho I and Jalan Gorda Lubang Buaya (230 meters long), Jalan Radar Auri Cibubur (896 meters long), Jalan Gudang Air Rambutan Urban Village (441 meters long), Jalan Waru RW 02 Cilangkap (383 meters long), etc.

RW 02 Cilangkap Secretary, Misran Arief expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency which had realized the residents' proposal. He admitted the channel made on Jalan Waru Cilangkap had been requested long time ago or about 15 years ago and had been realized this year.

"Locals have made proposal many times but failed. Alhamdulillah, it can be realized this year. Surely, it is expected to minimize flooding on Jalan Waru Cilangkap," he stated.
