"It can anticipate the buildup of passengers in the following years, which number in the hundreds of thousands. This is for the first stage," he expressed, Monday (12/26).

He explained that the Tanah Abang Station would have a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area. TOD can be interpreted as a concept of urban development or development by maximizing integrated land use and promoting the use of public transportation and healthy lifestyles, such as walking and cycling.

"Then for the second stage, the Jakarta Government's duty is revitalizing facilities and infrastructure, maybe later there will be a widening of the area and others. So, we'll see in the future, what the concept is like," he explained.

He added there were several things that the Jakarta Government had to revitalize in supporting the optimization of this station, such as U-Turn, building JPOs, and beautifying parks.

"We also have land that can be used for access in and out of passengers. The land is from us and the development is from the PUPR Ministry and Transportation Ministry," he added.

He mentioned that in the process of working on adding the railway facilities, his party was following the directions from President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo, thus it can be realized maximally by the end of 2023.

"We will immediately coordinate directly with them (ministries). This is because the target directed by the President must be completed by the end of 2023, and it must have been finalized," he concluded
