Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji reminded all residents to update information on disaster threats from official sources in anticipation of facing floods, earthquakes, and changes in weather.
Based on data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), it was predicted that extreme weather would occur in several provinces including Jakarta from December 25, 2022 to January 1, 2023.

He explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government had made various efforts to deal with disasters ranging from floods to fallen trees. This anticipation has been carried out by all regional apparatus organizations (OPD).
"Many rivers have been dredged, dense trees have been pruned, and water pumps have even been built to deal with flooding. This is all cooperation from all OPD," he explained.
He urged residents to make a report to BNPD if they saw a disaster or a suitable building.
