Through PT Intiland, Jakarta administration is about to dredge a Pluit Reservoir which is located in North Jakarta this year after demolishment and relocation process is completed.
Responding on this matter, Head of Jakarta Water Management Department, Agus Priyono said the dredging is a program of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from PT Intiland. But it must wait for relocation first. "We hope the dredging can be done as soon as possible," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (2/5).
200 Buildings in Pluit Reservoir Demolished as Landslide Prevention WayHe told the legal framework is still being drafted to accelerate dredging process. Its dredging is targeted to be completed by the end of this year. The project will dredge 1.2 million cubic of mud with 2 meters deep and 60 hectares wide. "The mud would be used for island reclamation work. They (PT Intiland) had a permit development of artificial islands," he said.
Priyono furthered that PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is also involved in such project. "But PT Jakpro only prioritizes the construction of park and inspection road on the east side," he explained.
Based on the data gathered, until January 29, 2015, as many as 1,449 out of 7,000 buildings on the east side have been torn down. The owners will be relocated to the Muara Baru Flat, but only 800 households. Considering 649 others are renters.
Socialization about demolishment plan continues to be done. The reason is buildings standing on wet-section area must be demolished.
