Disdik to Creates Education Without Discrimination

As many as 1,400 principals of Elementary (SD), Junior High (SMP), Senior High (SMA), and Vocational High School (SMK) from East Jakarta met in Ciracas Sporting Arena (GOR) to be given guidance about creating the quality education without discrimination to eliminate extortion, and violence in their school.

"I received a short message but full of meaning from the governor to makes the education without discrimination in Jakarta. So, I invite all principal to get guidance," said Arie Budhiman, Head of Jakarta Education Department (Disdik), Friday (2/6).

Budhiman also mentioned, his side received 107 reports from citizen until February 6. From the amount, 52 percent of the report related to extortion. 29 percent related to violation, and the rest related to inadequate school facilities.

"Unfortunately, the report was true after investigated. There are 16 reports that prove the truth and makes 4 principals and 5 teachers were given firm sanction besides the other still in investigation process," said Budhiman.

Furthermore, Budhiman detailed the 7 important things to explain the education without discrimination as; stop the deviant behavior, improve the service and teacher's welfare, the improvement of educational achievement,  the budget absorption optimization, and integrated the educational system to more accessible to parents.

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Education Sub-dept. Zone II, Didi Sugandi said, the principals must understand the 7 programs. His side will always monitor and claim the principal promise and also give firm sanction if they are proven to violate the rule.

"I will claim the principal promise, they should understand the meaning and I will give them a firm sanction if they are proven to violate the 7 commitment," he said.
