DPRD Chairman Pras Calls on Residents to Keep Clean During New Year's Eve

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi or popularly called Pras urged residents who celebrate the new year, to maintain cleanliness, order, and enthusiasm to welcome the New Year 2023.

Together with Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, they greeted residents at the Malam Muda Mudi Festival (Youngsters Night) stage on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday (12/31) night.

"Hopefully, Jakarta will be better, comfortable, and don't litter. If you can pocket it, take it home because Jakarta can be an example for Indonesia," he said.

He hoped that in 2023, Jakarta could be free of recession. The Jakarta Provincial Government was also prompted to remain focused and concentrate on programs related to classic problems in Jakarta such as floods, traffic jams, and food security.

"The Jakarta Government can be even better in carrying out its programs and focus more on problems in Jakarta," he hoped.

Aside that, his party urged the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) and the Jakarta Government's BUMD to anticipate the threat of a recession.

"We have prepared a budget. This recession is not only the Jakarta Government's responsibility but also the board members. So, I hope this recession can be anticipated," he uttered.
