As many as 12.8 tons of garbage left over from the New Year's Eve celebration from Saturday (12/31) and Sunday (1/1) were successfully transported by the West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency.
West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi said that 12.8 tons of garbage were cleaned at some points. Among them were in the courtyard of the West Jakarta Mayor's Office, CNI area, in front of Daan Mogot Mall, and Kota Tua area.

According to him, the clean-up action at the crowded point involved 360 officers equipped with 10 units of street sweepers and four trucks.
"It has been carried out from 1 AM to 5 AM. West Jakarta is free of garbage," he concluded.
