On the New Year's Eve 2023 celebration, several Jakarta residents expressed their best wishes and prayers for their beloved city. Met in Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta, residents hope that Jakarta will be more advanced and become a global city.

I have great hopes for Jakarta

As quoted by Beritajakarta.id, Dina (22), a resident of Jalan Fatmawati, South Jakarta expressed her hope that Jakarta could be better and become a global city. She appreciated the existence of public transportation in Jakarta, which he considers to be the same as in other big cities in the world.

“The transportation is cool, more advanced, safe, and comfortable. I also hope Jakarta's problems such as traffic jams and flooding can be resolved soon," she expressed, Sunday (1/1).

Then Azlan (30), a resident of Kembangan, West Jakarta admitted he was grateful that this year he and his family could celebrate the New Year's moment with a festive atmosphere like in Bundaran HI area.

"After two years of experiencing a pandemic, now we can celebrate New Year's Eve with a more lively and exciting atmosphere," he expressed.

He also hopes that in the future, Jakarta can be used as an example for other regions or cities in Indonesia.

“I have great hopes for Jakarta. Despite the National Capital will move later, I hope Jakarta can remain the center of the economy and support Indonesia's progress," he hoped.
