PPKM Revoked, Traders' Turnover in Tanah Abang is Expected to Increase

"Yes, happy of course, it's like a dream to chat and serve president shopping. He bought four trousers spending money by Rp 430,000," expressed As Safwa Shop Trader, Sintia Fariska with a happy face.

After shopping, he was accompanied by the Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono did not refuse when he was asked to take a photo with residents.

"I'm really happy today. Hope his visit can attract more visitors here," she hoped.

Even, the visit of the President and Acting Governor also surprised visitors. One of them was a resident, Rohana Mutmiah (41) who is shopping for accessories at the market.

"I was nervous before, I was so happy to have a chat with the president. Usually, I just watch him on TV, now meet and chat directly," she admitted.

The President's visit was aimed at making sure the economy gets off to a good start, especially in Jakarta. He wanted the year 2023 to be a good start, thus Indonesia's economy will continue to grow, exceeding the achievements of 2022.

"I want to see that optimism exists in 2023, as 2022 is a moment of struggle that won't be easy. The hope is there will be that optimism, because of no PPKM. The impact of it is not only in Tanah Abang Market but also in 16 downstream markets (all over Indonesia)," he uttered.
