Disbud to Hold Free Mass Circumcision, Check Schedule Here

The Jakarta Culture Agency (Disbud) is set to hold a free mass circumcision at Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital, Jalan Warung Sila No. 1, Gudang Baru, Cipedak Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta, next Saturday (1/14). It aims to celebrate the Disbud's 3rd anniversary.

Disbud Head, Iwan Hendry Wardhana expressed circumcision is known by some people as a normal process and self-cleaning before reaching adulthood. Especially for Muslims, it is one of the Shari'a that is recommended for parents to their children.

It was expected to provide good benefits for children, thus they have a healthy and clean lifestyle from an early age, including giving an understanding of the importance of circumcision.

"We want to help the community create a healthy and intelligent generation that grows up to be pious human beings and can be a source of pride for their parents in the future," he explained, in a written statement, Sunday (1/8).

based on that consideration, the Disbud chose to hold a mass circumcision to celebrate its 3rd anniversary. The participant registration period has also been opened from January 4 - 13, 2023.

Besides being free of charge, as many as 100 circumcision participants will be given compensation of Rp 500,000, which will be held at the Betawi cultural neighborhood Setu Babakan in Jagakarasa, South Jakarta on the upcoming Saturday.

"This is also a form of gratitude for the increasing age of the Disbud," he stated.
