Flood, 4 Transjakarta Corridors Stop Operated

Heavy rain that flushed the capital since Sunday (2/8) night, made 4 Transjakarta corridors submerged and cannot be passed.

PT Transjakarta General Director, Antonius NS Kosasih explained, the four inaccessible corridors are Corridor II (Pulo Gadung- Harmoni), Corridor VIII (Lebak Bulus - Harmoni), Corridor X (Cililitan Tanjung Priok) and Corridor XII (Pluit - Tanjung Priok).

"There are 4 corridors we have to stop the operation due to flooded," told Kosasihm Monday (2/9).

Puddles at City Hall Recede

Kosasih added, Pedongkelan area, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta is flooded and can not be passed. It is the corridor II route.

"The flood in Pedongkelan has reached high as adult waist and cannot be passed by any vehicle," he uttered.

He continued, Corridor VIII is stopped due to flood at Green Garden area, Kedoya, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, corridor X and XII are also stopped due to flood at Sunter area, North Jakarta.

Kosasih added, his side also shorten route in some corridors. As example, at Corridor I (Blok M - Kota) shortened to Kota-Harmoni because blocked by flood at traffic light Sarinah, Monas, and State Palace.

"We also shorten Corridor IX route (Pluit - Pinang Ranti) to Pinang Ranti - Harapan Kita because the route from Central Park to Pluit is inaccessible due to flood at Grogol," he explained.
