Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono conducted a field visit with Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi to see preparations for holding the 2023 ASEAN Summit at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Friday (1/13).

In his visit, the Acting Governor and the minister were talking about the readiness of the room in the JCC building to be used for the ASEAN Summit.

According to him, they reviewed several facilities that will be used to support the upcoming summit.
"Indonesia as the host, especially the Jakarta Government, as the venue for the ASEAN Summit is in the city of Jakarta, surely we want to give the best service. We want to present our best. Following the success of the G20 Summit in Bali in 2022," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Based on this review, they see that although the JCC building is ready to be used as the venue for the summit, it still needs to be better prepared. Moreover, JCC is used to being the venue for various national and international scale events.
"We're about to prepare better for the venues that will be used in holding the ASEAN Summit. Because Jakarta is successful for Indonesia," he asserted.
At the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia on November 13, 2022, Indonesia received the mandate to hold the 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship.
Carrying out this mandate, Indonesia carries the theme 'ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth' which at the same time resonates with the success of the 2022 G20 Presidency in Bali.
