Flood Problem, Ahok Ready to Be Summoned by President

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama acknowledged he was ready to be summoned by the President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to give and explain the update information about flooding in the capital.

At this time, Ahok is busy with work agenda which has been scheduled in his office, City Hall. "Yes, I am waiting for the summoning from the president. I don't know when he will summon me to the Presidential Palace," said Ahok, at City Hall, Tuesday (2/10).

It is related with flooding in Jakarta since Monday (2/9). Moreover, it has engulfed the ring 1 area which is an access road toward Presidential Palace. Similar condition is also spotted on main roads as high as 10-50 centimeters.

Such summoning was conveyed by the President when he arrived in the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport on Tuesday (2/10) morning. "I got a message from Mr. Governor that the Presidential Palace is inundated, but I have yet to discuss it with him, perhaps today," he told.

As known, heavy rain that flushed Jakarta on Monday yesterday has inundated roads and citizen residential, like Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan in front of the Presidential Palace. As a result, it led to the Mr. Jokowi and her wife's room inundated approximately 10 cm high.
