DPRD Chairman: Peace and Tranquility in Jakarta Must Be Maintained

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi or popularly called Pras reportedly accompanied Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono to attend the 2022 Christmas celebration entitled 'Jakarta Light for Indonesia' at Ecovention Ancol, North Jakarta yesterday evening.

Jakarta feels peaceful

Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi said the 2022 Christmas celebrations went so peacefully. The gathering between religions was created very harmoniously for Jakarta residents and the sense of concern for fellow residents and the environment was very close.

"We are grateful for the dynamism between people through the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB). Jakarta feels peaceful. No more gap between religions. I'm proud as a resident of Jakarta," he expressed, Saturday (1/14).

He advised all Jakarta residents to maintain religious harmony and not be easily provoked by negative issues. If residents got along and respect each other, Jakarta's priority programs could run smoothly and be successful.

"Surely we support each other. This harmony is also to support several priority programs in Jakarta such as traffic jams, floods, and food security," he explained.

The same statement also came out from Jakarta DPRD's Bapemperda Chairman, Pantas Nainggolan. Yesterday's event was seen as a form of religious tolerance and togetherness in carrying out tasks, especially for the advancement of Jakarta.

"It reminds us to continue to actualize the teachings of all religions. All religions are good and have a source of positive values for life," he stated.
