The walls of the Interchange JORR Toll Road and Jagorawi Toll Road Flyover in RW 01 get a new look thanks to colorful murals by 15 personnel of Ceger Urban Village PPSU, Cipayung, East Jakarta.
These murals are made to make the environment tidier and more beautiful
Ceger Urban Village Head, Suratno said the Jagorawi Toll Road Flyover wall adjacent to the vacant land at Jalan Mabes Hankam was decorated with three-dimensional murals of natural landscapes and gardens.
As for the Interchange JORR Toll Road wall, the larger one was muraled with the tagline Majunya Jakarta untuk Indonesia (Jakarta's Progress for Indonesia)
PPSU Beautifies Jalan Manunggal with Murals"These murals are made to make the environment tidier and more beautiful considering the location is on the edge of the main road and close to residential areas," he expressed.
RW 01 Ceger Chairman, Yanto Sudarto added the murals were made to make his formerly rundown area brighter now. Moreover, the vacant land around the location is also being made into a garden, so it looks green.
"Residents really support this for the realization of a clean and green environment. Moreover, with mural like this, the view becomes even more interesting," he admitted.
The same appreciation also came from RW 01 Ceger LMK Member, Herlina Sulistianto who supported the action by distributing wall paint and various decorative plants.
His party also built a 1.5-meter-wide bridge connecting channel on Jalan Rambo as an access road for residents.
"We're participating in managing the environment, thus it is greener, more beautiful, cleaner, and no longer looks dirty," he stated.
