Imlek Holiday, 33,633 People Swarm Ragunan Zoo

A holiday which is Imlek (Chinese New Year) celebration, is really used by tens of thousands of people to visit the Ragunan Zoo (TMR) located on Jalan Harsono RM, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, which is still the favorite destination. No wonder, until this afternoon, the number of visitors reached 33,633 people.

Information and Public Relations Service Staff for TMR, Wahyudi Bambang expressed five gates consisting of three gates on the north gate and two gates on the west door were opened to accommodate visitors.

"Until 12 PM, we receive around 33,633 visitors today," he expressed, Sunday (1/22).

Of 33,633 visitors, most visited the lion, elephant, and giraffe enclosures. Then the Schmutzer Primate Center was also recorded as having visited 4,464 people.

"We're not targeting the number of visitors but it is estimated that until this afternoon the number can touch 50,000," he added.

As for the information, the TMR is open from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a ticket price by Rp 4,000 for adults and Rp 3,000 for children.
