PLN Asked to Install Substation at Each Pump House

The case of a power outage at the Pulit Dam's pump house during rain, North Jakarta, Monday (2/9), has inundated the Presidential Palace and residential in Jakarta. The city administration immediately asked the State-Owned Electricity Company (PLN) to install its own substation for operational of the pump house.
Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat disclosed the pump house must be existed in the vital objects and must have its own substation. This is because the pump house remains function, even though the power outage turned off in the flooded areas.

To PLN, Djarot admitted, he will send a letter to request for installation of electrical substation. It was proposed, following the examples of cases in several locations.
Besides that, another solution that would be done is the installation of the generator in any existing pump house. This is because it is an alternative when there is a power outage.
"We'll install generators at each pump house, thus we can still able to function the pump when electricity turned off," he uttered.
