23 Households Affected with Ciliwung Project Relocated to Cibesut Apartment

As many as 23 households or 86 people affected by the Ciliwung crossing channel project have been relocated to NCipinang Besar Utara (Cibesut) low-cost apartment (Rusunawa), Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

We relocated them on January 12, 2023

Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Agency Head, Sarjoko said as many as 23 households have occupied the Cipinang Besar Utara Rusunawa since two weeks ago.

"We relocated them on January 12, 2023," he expresed, Wednesday (2/1).

He explained that they were exempt from the temporary rental rates. This policy is based on Gubernatorial Regulation number 61/2020 on regarding the Granting of Relief from Regional Retribution and/or the Elimination of Administrative Sanctions for Compulsory Retribution Affected by Covid-19. However, residents are charged with paying electricity and water fees according to usage.

"It hasn't been determined yet, the rent levy is still free, but residents pay electricity and water fees according to the amount of each usage," he stated.
