We Insist to Use E-Budgeting in 2015 APBD, Ahok Says

Although the new format was rejected by Home Affairs
Ministry (Kemendagri), Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) insists
to keep using the e-budgeting format in 2015 City Budget (APBD). This should be taken
because the e-budgeting has been included in the format, so no need the Council
leaders' sign as the Home Affairs' request.
We will keep using our format. But the problem is, the Home Affairs Ministry wants to use the old format that should have signed by City Council Leader and Vice in each budget sheet
"That's what I mean; we will keep using our format. But
the problem is, the Home Affairs Ministry still wants to use the old format that
should have signed by City Council Leader and Vice in each budget sheet,"
said Basuki at City Hall, Thursday (2/12).
Basuki assessed, the old format should open chance for a
person to insert fake program in Jakarta City Council.
"We have been cheated in 2013 and 2014 Budget. We have
discussed the program, but they eliminate it. So, the Provincial Working Unit
often shocked because the program does not fit with what they asked
before," he added.
As a result, Basuki insists to keep the e-budgeting program
in 2015 City budget to prevent the same case.
"I insist to use e-budgeting because it doesn't need to
be signed by the Council even the Ministry forced us to use the old
format," he continued.
He explained, the problem was reported to President Joko
Widodo (Jokowi) and followed up by instructed the Economy Coordinator Minister,
Sofyan Djalil.
"The Economy Minister asks Home Affairs Ministry to
follow the Jakarta e-budgeting, because the system will be the national
model," Basuki uttered.
