Auto-Debit System Applied to 2,904 PKL in E. Jakarta

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to run the auto-debit system. On Thursday (2/12), city launched the auto-debit retribution system for a total of 2,904 street vendors (PKL) at guidance location on Jalan Cipinang Jaya, Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

We targeted 200 thousand street vendors to participate in this program by this year

This program is targeted to reach around 200 thousand street vendors under guidance of Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency (KUMKMP).

2,000 PKL Have Auto Debit Cards

"Later, all vendors at guidance and temporary location should use the auto-debit system to pay their retribution," said Franky Panjaitan, Jakarta Economy Assistant, in sidelines of auto-debit launching program in Jatinegara. 

Joko Kundaryo, Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency Head added, there are only 12 of 200 thousands street vendors that have the DKI Bank's Account, and 10 thousands of them have participated in auto-debit program.

As information, the vendors should pay Rp 4,000 in guidance location and Rp 3,000 in temporary location. "We targeted 200 thousand street vendors to participate in this program by this year," added Kondaryo. 

East Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Sub-dept., Arfian added, in there were 4,400 street vendors and 1,824 of them have owned the DKI Bank account, while 800 of them have received the auto-debit card. 

"We also asked the urban village and sub-district to get data of the street vendors in their area because this program has become priority program to take retribution in East Jakarta," added Arfian.
