Rainy Season, Beware of these 89 Flood Prone Points

From the mapping of flood prone area in the capital performed by Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), known as many as 89 flood prone points are located in 5 municipalities.

Currently, we detected 89 flood prone points in the capital

Jakarta Disaster Management Agency Head, Denny Wahyu said, the mapping was held to accelerate the flood handling in the capital. "Currently, we detected 89 flood prone points in the capital," said Wahyu, Thursday (2/12). 

The 89 points contained of 22 points in North Jakarta, 20 points in West Jakarta, 19 points in South Jakarta, 19 points in East Jakarta, and 9 points in Central Jakarta. "We expected to be better prepared in handling the flood by this mapping," he added.

City to Manages Flood at 8 Prone Areas

In North Jakarta, the 22 flood prone points are located in Kapuk Kamal or Kampung Baru, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Kampung Gusti or Teluk Gong, Muara Angke Pluit, Pademangan Barat, Pademangan Timur, Sunter Agung, Sunter Jaya, Lagoa Buntu - Tanjung Priok, Kebon Bawang, Warakas, Sungai Bambu, Papanggo, Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading Timur, Rawa Badak Utara, Rawa Badak Selatan, Tugu Selatan, Lagoa, Semper Barat, and Rorotan.

While in West Jakarta, the prone point are located in Rawa Buaya, Duri Kosambi, Tegal Alur, Kapuk Kedaung Poglar, Kapuk, Kembangan, Meruya, Meruya Indah, Pesing, Green Garden, Krendang, Duri Utara, Jelambar Baru, Pinangsia, Mangga Besar, Tanjung Duren Raya, Grogol, Sukabumi Utara, Kelapa Dua, and Duri Kepa.

Then, the 19 points in East Jakarta are, Kebon Nanas, Bidara Cina, Kampung Melayu, Cipinang Indah, Malaka Selatan, Pondok Kelapa, Tegal Amba Halim Perdanakusuma, Cipinang Melayu, Kampung Makasar, Kramatjati, Al Hawi, BHP Housing, Kampung Rambutan, Ciracas, Cibubur, Kelapa Dua Wetan, and the area in front of Cibubur Market.

In South Jakarta, 19 flood prone points are located in IKPN Housing, Ulijami, Pondok Pinang, Cirendeu Permai, Kebalen, Mampang Prapatan, Kuningan, Tegal Parang, Petogogan, Pondok Karya, Darma Jaya, Pulo Raya, Kampung Pulo, Bukit Duri, Kebon Baru, Pengadengan, Rawajati, Cipulir, and Ciledug Raya.

Meanwhile in Central Jakarta, 9 prone points are located in Kali Pasir area, Bundaran HI, Pejompongan, Jati Pinggir, Mangga Dua, Kartini, Serdang, Gunung Sahari and Cempaka Putih.
