Heru Commits to Finding Long-Term Solutions After Pertamina Fire in North Jakarta

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono returned to inspect the evacuation site for fire survivors at Rasela RPTRA, North Jakarta. This time, he came together with President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and BUMN Minister, Erick Thohir on Sunday (3/5) morning.

He (Jokowi) wanted the safety and security of the public to be a top priority

At that time, President Jokowi asked Acting Governor and BUMN Minister to immediately find a long-term solution in order to avoid similar incidents in the future.

"He (Jokowi) wanted the safety and security of the public to be a top priority. Therefore, an evaluation will be carried out to review the zoning and future steps," expressed the Acting Governor, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

His party would also keep assisting survivors in evacuation in various aspects, ranging from physical health to mental health, thus the victim's recovery process runs smoothly.

Refugee Data

According to Jakarta BPBD data until Sunday (3/5) at noon, it was recorded that several evacuees had reached 421 people:

• North Jakarta PMI office: 121 evacuees

• Rasella RPTRA: 300 evacuees

Victim Handling Data

Based on data from Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), until noon, 17 people died and 37 people are being treated at the hospital:

•    RSCM Hospital: 1 person

•    RSPP Hospital: 24 people

•    Pelabuhan Hospital: 2 people

•    Tugu Hospital: 1 person

•    Koja Hospital: 2 people

•    Yarsi Hospital:  2 people

•    Firdaus Hospital: 1 person

•    Pertamina Jaya Hospital: 2 people

•    Pekerja Hospital: 2 people

BPBD Assistance Data

BPBD has deployed 50 personnel and set up 2 tents at Rasela RPTRA and North Jakarta Mayor. They also distribute assistance:

• 147 boxes of mineral water

• 290 sheets of sarong

• 740 blankets

• 290 sheets of mukenas

• 125 tarps

• 550 mattresses

• 357 packages of family kit

• 217 packages of kidswear

• 327 packages of clothing

• 10 pieces of body bags

• 19 boxes of bar soap

• 18 boxes of wipol

• 21 boxes of hand sanitizer

• 75 boxes of masks

• 2 units of fan

• 40 pallets of tent bases

• Megaphone

BNPB Assistance Data

The following is the assistance data that has been provided by BNPB:

• Refugee Tents 6x12: 2 units

• 4x6 Family Tents: 10 units

• Staple Food Packages: 200 packages

• Blankets: 500 pieces

• Mattresses: 500 pieces

Data Support of Jakarta Child Protection and Population Control Agency (PPAPP)

Jakarta PPAPP Agency also provides Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) to fire survivor children. It is done with BPBD Psychosocial Team, Social Agency (Dinsos), Ministry Social's Peace Pioneers, and Healthy Jakarta through play therapy, drawing, singing, dancing, and distributing dolls to survivors, as well as snacks.

Social Agency (Dinsos) Assistance Data

Assistance has also been handed over from Jakarta Dinsos to fire survivors in Rawa Badak Selatan:

1. Food

• 500 kg of rice

• 200 boxes of instant noodles

• 180 cans of canned fish

• 30 bottles of soy sauce

2. Clothing

• Collar shirts 75 pieces

• Egligee 50 pieces

• Men's underwear 50 pieces

• Women's underwear 50 pieces

• 250 blankets

• Small towel

3. Other Assistance

• 49 mattresses

• 50 tarps

• 600 ml of mineral water

• 200 adult presses

• 2,600 boxes of packaged ready meals

• 60 boxes of biscuits

Healthcare Support Data

• Health services at two service posts (Rasella RPTRA and PMI) on standby 24 hours

• 3 AGD ambulances per shift

• Referral system to designated hospitals, namely: RSUD Hospital, BUMN Hospital, CMRS, POLRI Hospital, and Private Hospital

• Refugee data collection for communicable and non-communicable diseases as a form of disease control

• Waste/environmental sanitation checking

• Checking the availability of clean water and drinking water

• Waste monitoring

• Examination of food samples

• Provision of Supplementary Food (PMT) for toddlers: 210 boxes

• 20 boxes of PMT for pregnant women

• Menu monitoring in public kitchens and sanitary hygiene

• Examination of pregnant women, and preparing special evacuation sites for pregnant women

Then, 1,000 medicine packages and trauma-healing assistance for children were also provided. The Jakarta Government continues to synergize with various parties in handling this fire, as protecting residents and ensuring residents' safety is the most important thing.
