250 PPSU Personnel Deployed to Conduct Mud Cleanup in Krukut River

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin leads Gerebek Lumpur (mud cleanup) on the Krukut River, Monday (3/20). It aims to overcome the inundation that has occurred in Bangka and Jalan Kemang Raya areas.

It is conducted starting from Jalan Pulo Raya Bridge or Jalan Galindra and Kintamani Condominium, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, to Jalan Bank, Bangka, Mampang Prapatan.

"The mud is thick enough and there is a bottle neck at the location. So, it needs serious handling, thus the river is able to accommodate high water discharge and no inundation in the surrounding area," he expressed.

He also urged the owners of buildings that protrude into the river to be willing to give up a little of their land to be used for widening the river, thus the existing bottle neck can be maximally resolved.

South Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant, Mukhlisin explained the action involved 250 PPSU personnel from Pela Mampang, Petogongan, and Polo urban villages.

Then Water Board UPK Task Force, Environment Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, and Communications, Informatics, and Statisti Sub-agency.

To support it, as many as six amphious excavators, one long arm units, and 15 dump trucks had been deployed to the location.
