Hydrant Pump Room on Panggang Island Repaired

The North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) agencies inspect and repair the hydrant pump room on Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands.

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Gulkarmat Sub-agencies Head, Buang Miharja said the hydrant pump room on Panggang Island was in a damaged condition, thus repairs were a must.

"This is out routine agenda. But yesterday we received a report that there was a leak in the hydrant pump room," he said, Thursday (3/23).

In this activity, his party deployed four firemen. Besides the pump room, they also checked five hydrants in residential areas.

"We have checked five hydrant boxes in each alley and tested the water pressure. The conditions are tight and good," he explained.

It is targeted to be done quickly considering the existence of a hydrant is very important to anticipate fires that can occur at any time.

"Hydrant inspection and repair not only on Panggang Island, but on other islands," he stated.
