Street Vendors on Jalan Wolter Monginsidi will Be Relocated

The location of street vendor's accommodation on Jalan Wolter Monginsidi , Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta will be demolished. Dozens of vendors that have been settled the location since 1974 will be relocated to closest market.

"We have given a abbreviation one for JS 33 as accommodation of street vendors (PKL) has been deleted," said Indro Martono, Head of Department of  Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperation (KUMKMP) South Jakarta.

According to Indro, There are 42 vendors which settle the location, such as foods and groceries vendors, pump machine service, and also fruits vendors. " They request for times till Eid ul Fitri over, but we refused their request," he explained.

Indro Continued, the vendors will be facilitated to get a new place at the markets. "The closest ones are Santa Market and Mampang Market. If there are 50 loss in Santa market, yet we still have to coordinate with PD Jaya market as market manager," he revealed.

While for the  street vendors from Kebayoran Lama Market which is controlled a couple days ago, Indro continued it is facilitated to get into Bata Putih Market. "We submitted to get into Bata Putih market because there are still 150 empty loss," he said.

A whole of the street vendor's accommodation will be deleted step by step. The previous land was used by the vendors will be returned its function becomes green open space (RTH) or the other general facilities. At Kebayoran B aru, location of street vendor's accommodation with code JS 36 and 37 that has been settled by more than 30 vendors is already demolished.
