Breaking of the Fast While Enjoying the Prophet's Relics at LPPI Kemang

This is free of charge to enjoy this exhibition

Waiting for the time to break the fast a.k.a ngabuburit while learning the history of the Islamic struggle? Let's come to the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI) Building on Jalan Kemang Raya, No. 35, RT 08/RW 02, Bangka, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

In the hall on the ground floor of the building, visitors can enjoy 23 relics of the Prophet Muhammad installed in a window. These historic objects are on display in the Artifact exhibition which will be held from April 3 to 12, 2023.

Accompanied by the soft strains of Islamic music, they can walk around the room to see various historical objects, starting from the green Raudoh carpet of the Nabawi Mosque, as well as the red kiswa covering the top of the Kaaba and the green kiswa covering the walls.

While in the exhibition area, they will be accompanied by a committee that will explain in detail the names and types of objects on display.

The committee also prepared a photobooth area with a picture of the badr war in the background and a picture of a warrior on horseback carrying a sword in his right hand.

Artifact Exhibition Team Head, Muhammad Issac Al Mahmudi said that most of the objects on display are original and certified. Only a small part are replicas.

"Usually, to see these original historical objects left by Prophet Muhammad, people have to go to Turkey. But, this Ramadan, we present these historic objects in the middle of Jakarta. People who want to see it, just come to the exhibition area at Kemang LPPI building," he expressed, Thursday (4/6).

He said several original historical objects that were exhibited included Sword of Sayidina Khalid bin Walid, Prophet's Whip, Prophet's Stick made of Luz wood, and Prophet's command arrow.

Here is also exhibited the soil of the Prophet's tomb which was put in acrylic measuring 3 centimeters high by 10 centimeters. The soil is covered with cotton on the top and bottom.

"This is free of charge to enjoy this exhibition. However, you can give donations sincerely," he added.

He mentioned it is open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM, including Saturday and Sunday remain open. Even on weekends, the exhibition was filled with Marawis, Hadroh, and coloring contests for PAUD children which were organized by the committee.

Bangka Urban Village Head, Firdaus Aulawy Rois appreciated the holding of the exhibition initiated by the Indonesian Artifacts Exhibition Team together with the EO and the LPPI.

"We really appreciate this artifact exhibition. So, people don't have to come far to Turkey to see this historic object," he added.
