The use of gas fuel in the capital city keeps being encouraged by Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat. Besides supporting blue sky program and subsidized fuel conversation into gas fuel, it also aims to reduce pollution.
Air pollution is very dangerous to our health
C. Jakarta Needs More SPBG
According to Djarot, the vehicles passing on the city roads every day is reaching 7.5 million. Thus it triggers air pollution and endangers people.
"Air pollution is very dangerous to our health," he stressed after inaugurating 5 Vi-Gas Fuel Distribution Stations (SPB), which was centered at the gas station (SPBU) COCO 31.137.01 Gandaria, East Jakarta, Thursday (2/26).
Those five stations that spread in West and East Jakarta are having a capacity of 6 MTs or equal to 11,800 liters. If it is used for public transport filling, the Vi-Gas fuel is enough to approximately 500 vehicles per day.
"The important thing is PT Pertamina should secure the supply of fuel and gas for later. Jakarta is currently no longer rely on diesel, pertamax or premium fuel. But they also have to prepare the gas as an alternative fuel. Thus, citizens have a lot of options," he expressed.
