He explained Bank DKI's year-on-year (yoy) lending compared to the Q1 2022 period had increased in all segments. Starting from retail credit, it grew by 79.38 percent to Rp 1.06 trillion in March 2023 from IDR 595.08 billion in Q1 2022.
Micro credit grew by 54.35 percent to Rp 2.69 trillion in March 2023 from Rp 1.74 trillion in Q1 2022. Consumer credit grew 14.16 percent to Rp 20.54 trillion in March 2023 from Rp 17.99 trillion in Q1 2022.
Larger-scale loans also grew positively, such as medium-sized loans which grew by 47.14 percent to Rp 1.44 trillion in March 2023 from Rp 981.40 billion in March 2022. Meanwhile, commercial loans grew by 16.51 percent to Rp 16.23 trillion in March 2023 from Rp 13.93 trillion in March 2022. Syndicated loans grew by 80.07 percent, from Rp 3.55 trillion in March 2022 to Rp 6.39 trillion in March 2023.
He explained Bank DKI always prioritizes the principle of prudence in credit expansion. Reflected in the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 1.88 percent in March 2023 from the previous 3.05 percent in March 2022.
"Aside that, Bank DKI also forms reserves conservatively by maintaining a coverage ratio of 225.95 percent, as a measure to mitigate debtor collectibility," he explained.
Bank DKI's Finance and Strategy Director, Romy Wijayanto detailed that net profit growth was Rp 233.20 billion, driven by an increase in interest income which rose by 17.17 percent from Rp 1.12 trillion in March 2022 to Rp 1.31 trillion in March 2023.
According to him, this increase was driven by an increase in interest income from credit expansion and financing as well as maximizing bank productive assets in various financial instruments such as securities and placements with Bank Indonesia or other banks.
"Aside that, fee-based income increased by 28.12 percent to Rp 149.15 billion in March 2023 from Rp 116.42 billion in the same period last year," he continued.
He explained the performance of third party funds (DPK) also grew 16.27 percent from Rp 57.74 trillion in March 2022 to Rp 67.13 trillion in March 2023. Meanwhile, the loan to deposit ratio (LDR) increased significantly to 72.06 percent in March 2023 from 66.29 percent in the same period in the previous year. ROE was maintained at 9.73 percent, up from 8.52 percent, ROA to 1.53 percent, up from 1.48 percent, and BOPO was maintained at 78.24 percent, which was the same as the previous year's period.
"Meanwhile, other ratios continue to grow positively and are well maintained compared to the Q1 period of 2022," he added.
He added the performance of Bank DKI's Sharia Business Unit also showed adequate growth until March 2023. Distribution of sharia financing grew 12.56 percent from Rp 6.35 trillion in March 2022 to Rp 7.15 trillion in March 2023.
"Meanwhile, the collection of Sharia DPK grew 25.31 percent to Rp 8.10 trillion in March 2023, from Rp 6.47 trillion in March 2022," he stated.
