Heru Observes Preparations for ASEAN Summit in Three Locations

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono directly inspected the three locations and routes that will later be used as a place to welcome state guests ahead of the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

Together with Banten, we prepared and tidied it up for a more festive feel

Those three locations were Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, East Jakarta, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).

He stated the visit aims to prepare and welcome delegates and heads of state ahead of the ASEAN Summit in September 2023.

Heru Encourages Role of Jakarta Global City as Main Node of Socio-Economic Networks

"During the trip we discussed the beautification of the path to be traversed, such as road fireplaces with asphalt, even sidewalk fireplaces. Including Thamrin, Gatot Subroto, and GBK areas, he stated, Saturday (4/29).

He also checked potential points for outdoor advertisements or videotrons, thus they could be optimized by placing and promoting ASEAN Summit advertisements.

"We have recorded videotron or LED. According to the request of the national committee, the Foreign Minister to optimize the advertisement for the sake of echoing the ASEAN Summit," he added.

His party would also prepare students to welcome delegates and heads of state in time. These students will wear traditional clothes while carrying the flags of ASEAN countries.

"We will also prepare traditional performing arts as a form of Indonesia's diversity. Then we prepared Abang None Jakarta and school children to wear traditional clothes like the Betawi custom," he expressed.

Aside that, the readiness to welcome state guests ahead of the ASEAN Summit had almost reached 99 percent. All that remains is to prepare dishes with local or traditional nuances.
