Heru Receives Shanghai Mayor's Visit at City Hall

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono received an audience visit from Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Thursday (4/27).

We plan to carry out capacity building exchanges for these three things

The visit was in the framework of efforts to improve friendly relations and regional development cooperation between the two parties.

Regional Cooperation Bureau (KSD) Head, Marulina Dewi Mutiara stated, in the meeting, they discussed the development of each city. One of them was regarding the follow-up to the MoU signed in 2020.

"The 2020 MoU is related to increasing the capacity of young people, education personnel, and Jakarya ASNs. This year and next, we plan to carry out capacity building exchanges for these three things," she expressed.

Besides following up on the 2020 MoU, both also held development talks in the field of cultural participation and discussed trade investment.

Together with the Acting Governor, the Shanghai Mayor would hold the China Expo International Export Import in the forthcoming November. Acting Governor  expressed interest in sending several Jakarta BUMDs to participate in the event.

"He (Acting Governor) also invited Shanghai Major to attend the ASEAN Major Forum in August 2023," she stated.
