Dukcapil Sub-agency Urges Newcomers in Seribu Islands to Report Obligatory

The Seribu Islands Population and Civil Registration Sub-agency (Dukcapil) urges newcomers to report to locals RT/RW administrators and urban villages.

Until now, we have yet to receive reports. But we still urge them to report

Seribu Islands Dukcapil Sub-agency Head, Ginanjar said his party was focusing on collecting data on new arrivals after Idul Fitri and temporarily deactivating NIK residents.

These two programs are very related, thus newcomers should report to RT/RW administrators and urban villages for deactivation NIK.

"Until now, we have yet to receive reports. But we still urge them to report," he said, Monday (5/8).

By reporting themselves, his party could also find out, whether the immigrants will settle down or stay temporarily in Jakarta.

Those who come to Seribu Islands are expected to have job certainty and guaranteed families regarding their place of residence.

"This support is important, thus newcomers who come can help the economy and contribute to Seribu Islands," he added.

His party was still socializing NIK deactivation to residents. Even, in each urban village office, there is one officer to assist RT/RW administrators in verifying citizen data.

"We keep intensifying sweeping and verification in order to smoothen the NIK temporary deactivation program," he stated.
