Hopefully, no more inundation
Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Vice Head, Sidik Rawanta expressed the infiltration well construction was carried out to follow on the Jakarta Acting Governor's mandate in order to overcome the inundation during heavy rains.
"Hopefully, no more inundation," he expressed, when he monitored the well construction together with Cipulir Urban Village Acting Head, Andy Nurcahya and Cipulir Urban Village Secretary, Sumardianto, Wednesday (5/10).
Construction of Five Infiltration Wells on Tidung Island Reaches 60 PercentKebayoran Lama Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Andriansyah explained the many PT PLN cables leading to Tangerang and Kreo, as well as fiber optic cables at those locations were obstacles in the process of constructing these wells. This condition was exacerbated by the dense traffic.
"Our target is to build eight wells with 20 meters deep each. Currently, we have only manually dug one well," he stated.
In this work, his party got support from the SDA Task Force from Pesanggrahan, Cilandak, and Kebayoran Baru sub-districts, each of which sent four personnel.
The work begins with excavation using a jack hammer with three meters deep, then a concrete block with one meter diameter is installed. Afterwards, it was drilled using a machine as deep as 20 meters.
"One well hole takes two days to dig," he explained.
Cipulir Urban Village Acting Head, Andy Nurcahya added the work started from the front of Indomaret to the welding workshop for approximately 100 meters. Because of basin area, the water stagnates more during heavy rains.
"At the location, we have two stationary pumps belonging to the SDA Sub-agency. When inundation occurs, it can be operated immediately," he concluded.
