Transjakarta - Trans Pakuan Collaborates to Realize Integrated Transportation Services

The Jakarta Provincial Government is collaborating with the Bogor City administration in the framework of development in the field of public transportation modes, specifically to improve integrated transportation services between Jakarta and Bogor.

This collaboration was realized in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Transportasi Jakarta and Perumda Transportasi Pakuan Bogor City at Bogor City Hall, Thursday (5/11).

The signing was executed by Service and Development Director for PT Transportasi Jakarta, Lies Permana Lestari and Perumda Transportasi Pakuan Director for Bogor City, Rachma Nissa Fadliya.

It was witnessed by Bogor Mayor, Bima Arya Sugiarto; Bogor City Secretary; Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub); as well as PT Transportasi Jakarta Commissioner and President Director.

"Transjakarta and Trans Pakuan synergize together to encourage people to use public transportation and facilitate people's mobility," expressed Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin, Friday (5/12).

Bogor Mayor, Bima Arya revealed that there are several factors that must be addressed to overcome congestion in Bogor, such as infrastructure (access roads for 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles), the conversion of private vehicle use to mass transportation.

"And also the integration of transportation services," he stated.

PT Transjakarta Secretary Division Head, Apriastini Bakti Bugiansri uttered in this MoU, it was expected to provide knowledge transfer to Trans Pakuan in terms of Transjakarta's role as a Bus Management Company in organizing mass public transportation, managing government subsidies in the operation of public transportation, and developing other businesses as an additional source of income outside of ticketing (non-ticketing) fare box revenue).

"This MoU can provide great benefits for Bogor poeple who are active in Jakarta every day, especially in developing the Trans Pakuan service corridor that is integrated with the Jakarta Transportation System," she explained.

She added the integration of this transportation service can make it easier for the community, especially the people of Jakarta and Bogor, to carry out their daily mobility and create public transportation services that are efficient and affordable for the community.

"PT Transportasi Jakarta has become a role model for public transportation in all provinces in Indonesia, as conveyed by Jakarta Acting Governor during the Governor's Leadership Meeting at PT Transportasi Jakarta Head Office last February," she stated.
