Disparekraf Invites Bangladeshi Young Entrepreneurs to Visit Tourist Destinations in Jakarta

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) collaborated with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Dhaka to invite Bangladesh young entrepreneurs to get to know tourist destinations in Jakarta.

We continue to strive to present positive activities like this

Jakarta Disparekraf Head, Andhika Permata said this activity was held to promote the beauty and diversity of tourist destinations in the capital city.

"There are 22 young entrepreneurs from Bangladesh. Our hope is they can expand their business network in Jakarta and see various aspects of it, such as its culture and tourism potential," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (5/15).

Further, it is a continuation of the Junior Chamber International Asia Pacific Conference (Aspac) event which took place on May 10-13, 2023, at Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta. Participants were invited to visit several interesting tourist destinations with the following travel routes:

1. Trade Ministry. Participants are explained about the economic and trade sectors in Jakarta and available investment opportunities

2. Jakarta City Hall. Participants are given information about city management and tourism development in Jakarta

3. Kota Tua. Participants explore historical locations and visit various buildings, such as Fatahillah Museum, cafe areas, and unique shops selling traditional goods

4. Make Herbs. Participants are introduced to Indonesian cultural heritage in the field of traditional medicine through herbal concoctions. They are given the opportunity to learn and try to make their own herbs

5. National Monument (Monas). Participants get information about Indonesian history and culture through this monument, and enjoy views of the city from the top of the Monas Monument

6. Istiqlal Mosque. Participants are invited to see the architectural beauty of the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and gain an understanding of religious diversity and tolerance in Indonesia

7. Sarinah. Participants are introduced to the best local products at this iconic shopping place in Jakarta

8. Grand Indonesia Mall. Participants are invited to see one of the grandest malls in Jakarta, while offering a complete shopping experience with a variety of local and international tenants, as well as appetizing culinary choices.

9. Monument Kunstkring Paleis Restaurant. Participants are invited to see a restaurant that occupies a former art gallery building during the Dutch colonial era. Herein, they can also visit the art gallery space which displays the works of local and international artists

"We continue to strive to present positive activities like this, through collaboration with various parties. Hopefully, Jakarta can continue to compete in tourism arena," he closed.
