Heru Encourages Education in Jakarta to Create Superior Human Resources

To strengthen synergy with the private sector to develop Jakarta, Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono attended and gave a speech at the Astra Education Festival 2023, at Sasono Langen Budoyo and Sasono Utomo buildings, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta, Sunday (5/28).

In accordance with the theme of the activity, namely 'The Future of Continuing Education in Diversity and Equality', the Acting Governor wanted this synergy to encourage the world of education to produce superior Human Resources (HR). It could be exemplified by the harmony of attitude in the midst of technological advances.

"I appreciate the program from Astra which has really helped us in creating a superior generation that Indonesia can be proud of. As we understand, technology has developed rapidly, but I advise you not to forget to instill an understanding of ethics in every student," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Aside that, it was hoped that the theme of continuing education activities would run consistently, and could be emulated as a good example by any party. He expressed, students and collage students with Jakarta resident status have also been fully facilitated by the Jakarta Provincial Government, thus they can continue to pursue a better education.

"We want them to continue to excel in Jakarta, as we have excellent programs, such as Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) which gives nine million rupiah per semester. This year, as many as 15,000 students have received the KJMU. It also applies to young siblings from elementary to high school/vocational school who receive educational assistance (KJP Plus). So, they are expected to excel in advancing education in Jakarta," he explained.

He hoped that they could become figures who would later fill important positions to advance and continue Indonesia's development in the future. Henve, it is necessary to have training from an early age.

"So, they can become leaders in their respective posts, this training must start from now on. So, we also often synergize with Education and Culture Ministry to create a superior generation. We must also be optimistic that Indonesia will be able to make this happen," he concluded.
