Heru: OPD Must Create Accountable Government Management

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono emphasized that regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within Jakarta Provincial Government must realize government management that supports the implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP).

The statement above was conveyed during the signing of the 2023 Performance Agreement for Regional Apparatus Heads within Jakarta Government at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/24).

According to him, the signing of the performance agreement is a form of Jakarta's commitment and responsibility in realizing effective, transparent, and accountable government management, as well as a basis for measuring the effectiveness of carrying out tasks, using the budget, and improving public services.

"Hopefully, the achievement of targets and indicators set out in the Performance Agreement Document will become a common concern, which aims to support the implementation of SAKIP to perfect various policies, spark innovation, work program planning, and development activities for Jakarta," he expressed, as qouted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

That's why, he urged regional apparatuses heads to be fully committed, know, and understand their performance targets, distribute them in stages to ASN in their respective work units, and monitor performance achievements regularly.

They are also expected to accelerate the fulfillment of development goals and targets, taking into account the aspects of community welfare, regional competitiveness, and public services as regional performance indicators that have been stipulated in the 2023-2026 Regional Development Plan (RPD) document.

"Let's strengthen our steps in carrying out our responsibilities for the success of governance in Jakarta," he expressed.

City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono added Presidential Regulation Number 29/2014 on Performance Accountability System for Government Agencies became legal basis for Performance Agreement in the 2023 Regional Apparatus Heads within Jakarta Government and Acting Governor.

"The signing of this performance agreement was carried out between Acting Governor and City Secretary, Deputy Governor, City Secretary Assistant, Inspector, Jakarta DPRD Secretary, Satpol PP Head, five mayors and one Administrative Regent, 22 Agency heads, and 10 board heads," he said.
