Heru and Budi Karya Inspect LRT Jabodebek at Dukuh Atas Station

Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi together with Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono ensured that all preparations ahead of LRT Jabodebek operation in August 2023 were according to plan and going well.

The two of them along with their respective staff traveled using the LRT train from Dukuh Atas Station to LRT depot at Jati Mulya Station.

Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi said he was happy because the trip from Dukuh Atas Station to Jati Mulya Station only took about 39 minutes.

According to him, the train could cut trip time very significantly when compared to normal trips using private or public vehicles via toll roads.

It was because the costs that should be paid by all groups of people when using private vehicles are very high. With the presence of LRT Jabodebek, travel is fast, congestion and air pollution can also be minimized.

"From July 12 to August 18, we will try it on the community with a ticket price of Rp 1. Thank you to the Acting Governor, contractors, consultants, and the ranks of Ministry and Jakarta Government for providing support. Hopefully, what we are doing will benefit the nation," he added

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono appreciated the support and cooperation that has been established with the Transportation Ministry in the framework of accelerating the operation of LRT Jabodebek. It could be useful for the community, especially those who work in Jakarta and live in Bekasi and its surrounding areas.

"Of course, it reduces vehicles entering Jakarta and automatically reduces traffic jams. I hope people can use this. LRT Jabodebek can be utilized after it is inaugurated. We use the work of this nation's children properly and we take care of it together," he closed.
