LRT Phase 1B is Projected to Transport 180,000 Passengers Every Day

The LRT phase 1B line which will serve the Veledrom - Manggarai route is projected to be able to serve 180,000 passengers per day.

Corporate Secretary Division Head, Sheila Indira Maharshi said the projected number of passengers was the result of a study that had been carried out previously. Passengers are thought to come from residents who live along Velodrome - Manggarai route who switch to using public transportation when going to and from work.

"After operating, the route is projected to be used by 180,000 passengers per day," she said, after he discussed the plan to build this track with the East Jakarta administration, Monday (5/15) yesterday.

She estimated that the track construction process for this phase will take about 1.5 years. Hopefully, in 2024, the LRT phase 1B can operate and serve the community.

"Our target for operational trial is in 2024," she concluded.

For the construction which will be executed in July, his party would coordinate with Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) and Satpol PP to discuss traffic engineering and the potential for congestion to occur along the LRT pole installation route.

"According to the plan, the construction of phase 1B track will utilize road media land along 13 kilometers as the location for the track construction poles," she explained.
