Perumda Dharma Jaya is committed to taking advantage of the momentum of the digitalization trend by building a digital technology ecosystem in a bid to improve the company's business.

Digital transformation at Perumda Dharma Jaya must be carried out immediately

Perumda Dharma Jaya President Director, Raditya Endra Budiman said the application of digitalization of technology to encourage the company's business development must be carried out immediately, as Jakarta has the potential to become a city with a digital economy.

"Digital transformation at Perumda Dharma Jaya must be carried out immediately. Besides being able to increase productivity efficiency, it can also create company innovation by adopting the right technology," he explained, Thursday (7/6).

He went on to say that Perumda Dharma Jaya was in the planning stage to apply digitalization of technology in this year's core business development. Starting from identifying needs, determining the budget, evaluating available technology, and its developers, infrastructure planning, implementation planning, testing, and evaluation.

By adopting the right technology, companies could optimize operational processes, face competition and meet market demands that continue to grow and can handle market challenges. It could also be used to ensure product authenticity and safety.

"That way, companies can track every stage of production and distribution, from the source of raw materials to the hands of consumers. It can help to build consumer confidence and meet product certification requirements," he continued.

Aside that, from the downstream side, Perumda Dharma Jaya is also looking at e-commerce and the use of digital applications as digital marketing channels in a bid to increase sales.

He assessed e-commerce platforms and digital applications were used to increase product accessibility, making it easier for people to get quality products without the need to come to locations. Then, online advertising using social media can expand market reach, increase brand, and brand awareness in the community.

"We can bring closer the relationship between Perumda Dharma Jaya and consumers. The end goal, increase sales results. So, they have the awareness that if they need beef, they immediately remember to buy it at Perumda Dharma Jaya. That's the downstream side," he added.

Then on the upstream side, the cattle farm would also use digital technology in the form of sensors such as Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID).

This RFID technology is attached to the cow's ear to identify the cow, starting from where it comes from, age to its complete health record.

"We input the data first. So, when the cow enters the RFID scanner, the cow's data appears and is as complete as a KTP," he added.

Then the use of digital technologies such as sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) could be used for intelligent livestock rearing. It can track the health of cows by looking at indicators such as body temperature, humidity, diet in real time. Even moving or sleeping cows can be monitored in the system through motion sensor technology mounted on the cow's body which can read the cow's behavior.

By doing so, the data recorded in digital technology can be used for better decision-making in the context of animal care and welfare. The ultimate goal is to boost the productivity and quality of the meat.

"Through data analytics technology, Dharma Jaya can understand market trends, identify customer preferences, and boost the effectiveness of marketing strategies and product development," he closed.
