The South Jakarta Setu Babakan Betawi Village Management Unit and Jakarta Archipelago Cultural Arts Committee (KSBN) held a commemoration event for Indonesia Independence Day's 78th anniversary named Gado Gado Jakarta.

The event, which contains a variety of activities such as Betawi arts, comedy dramas and comedies, exhibitions, carnivals and bazaars as well as various competitions with Betawi nuances, will be held for two days from August 18-19, 2023.
Jakarta Culture and Tourism Division Deputy Governor, Marullah Matali said as the name implies Gado Gado Jakarta, it was expected to showcase the diversity and dynamics of the City of Jakarta, especially from a cultural perspective.

Setu Babakan UPK PBB Head, Imron Yunus explained Gado Gado Jakarta is an event involving collaborators and related SKPDs, the Betawi cultural community and 500 artists and 400 students in Jakarta and its surroundings.
"Our target is 5,000 visitors attending this activity. We make the audience present get an impression and meaning about Betawi culture," he stated.
