Through Training, Bank DKI Supports MSMEs Facing Competitive Economic Era

Bank DKI held a financial literacy education program through training themed "Entrepreneurial Mentality and Personal Financial Management Literacy" for more than 500 fostered MSMEs or Jakpreneur under the East Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-agency (PPKUKM).

They are expected to be able to manage their business more efficiently and with quality

This commitment to support and empower MSMEs has been ongoing since July 2023 in ten sub-districts in Jakarta, namely, Cakung, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara, Pulogadung, Matraman, Kramat Jati, Makasar, Pasar Rebo, Cipayung, and Ciracas.

Bank DKI Acting President Director, Amirul Wicaksono said this training is Bank DKI's commitment to prompt MSMEs to face challenges and welcome opportunities in an increasingly competitive economic era.

"With better knowledge and skills in financial management, they are expected to be able to manage their business more efficiently and with quality, thus increasing their competitiveness and being able to grow and develop sustainably," he expressed, Monday (8/21).

He explained Bank DKI recorded KUR distribution of 100 percent of the quota or Rp 1.15 trillion to approximately 6,023 MSMEs and Micro business actors in 2022. As for 2023, Bank DKI would receive a portion by Rp 2.8 trillion with details of a conventional allocation by Rp 2 trillion and Sharia by Rp 800 billion.

He went on to say that Bank DKI was committed to expanding access to credit/financing, encouraging empowerment, and providing assistance, thus MSMEs can grow and develop in supporting the regional and national economy.

"The program that has been running is a pilot project and in the future, it will be continued in other Jakarta," he continued.

East Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head, Derlina Melinda Sagala uttered it is also a form of implementation of Gubernatorial Regulation Number 2/2020 on Implementation of Integrated Entrepreneurship Development.

It presented entrepreneurship experts, banking practitioners, MSME practitioners, and entrepreneurship from Bank DKI as well as Jakpreneur assistants from Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Those (MSMEs) who attended also felt that they had greatly benefited from this training activity and hoped that similar entrepreneurship training could be held more frequently and regularly," she closed.
