A market that located on Jalan Diponegoro, Paseban Urban Village, Senen Sub-District, Central Jakarta, will be demolished in the near future. The land is planned to be transformed into a park and a green space open (RTH).
The market can't be used as a trading place anymore due to its position is on riverbank. Because of that, we are going to demolish it
Senen Sub-District Head, Masroni uttered the demolishment will be conducted at the end of this March.
"The market can't be used as a trading place anymore due to its position is on riverbank. Because of that, we are going to demolish it," he uttered, Tuesday (3/17).
Vice Gov Encourages Entrepreneurs to Expand Green SpaceMasroni explained there will be no relocation for traders in the market because it is PD Pasar Jaya's responsibility as the market manager. He will only give up the land as public facility to be used as parks and other facilities.
Suyono (34), a photocopy trader in the market admitted he was agree if his stall inside market would be demolished. Nevertheless, he wants the government to provide a relocation place prior to demolishment.
"I hope the new place is not far from our old market, because our customer is a lot here," he hoped.
